okay thanks yeah I figured something was up when i couldn't find much on it, in that case whats a good 4 channel amp that won't give me alternator noise problems?

Alt noise comes from poor grounds, poor RCA's, generally. Unless the amp is internally damaged or your feeding it a bad signal from the HU not being properly grounded, some of the pioneer HU had a problem with the rca outputs losing there ground and it created a signal interference thus getting the altered signal to the aml and it just amplifies the sound.
