My Kicker PKD1 kit arrived today hoooorraaaayyyy. Includes 20 ft. of 1/0, 5 ft 1/0, 10 ft 4 gauge (5ft x 2), 2 distro blocks (!), fuse holder, and some other not important stuff. One thing to note, this stuff is EXTREMELY flexible! The 4 gauge felt like spaghetti.

From left to right:

KnuKonceptz Kolossus 1/0, Kicker Hyperflex 1/0, Soundquest 4 gauge (currently in my car), Kicker 4 gauge.

The KnuKonceptz looks weird because I had a hell of a time cutting it.

Kolossus vs Hyperflex

Sexay, same order as the first pic

Now for some "flex" pics.

BIG difference //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

I needed something to cut the wire, so I'm going to use branch clippers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif Notice they still have the tags on em (I guess my cheapass dad wanted to return them lol).

My comparison vision is not very good, but the knu and kicker look to be about the same size??

Please don't flame, I can't see colors all that well and the copper blends in with the hand.

They kinda do look the same size, but then again, the Kicker wire is probably bigger becase the KnuKonceptz wire was cut weird and it freyed the hell out of the strands.

The wire is dope, the other stuff really doesn't stand out, but the wire is WAY flexible. Some of the most flexible I have seen. We carry it, unfortunately the pricing is a bit crazy on it unless you price match it.

The Knu has 400 more strands. The kicker is more flexible, but I still don't see why you need wire that flexible. I do like the way kicker looks better compared to my Knu though.

Your not supposed to see it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I gave up caring about strand count. Even though the Kicker has less, it is clearly equal in size or larger. I need wire that flexible because with the way my engine bay is, it would've been next to impossible to fit a fuse holder without flexible wire. I made a complete 180 degree turn with this wire with less than an 1" of bend.

Heck, they could have 1000 more strands, but it might not even be 1/0 wire (strand count doesn't mean anything really... like saying 2 scoops of raisins without knowing how big the scoops are).

Is that a ring terminal on the end of the 20-ft power wire? My fuse holder is easily 3-ft away from the battery, will I be able to take the ring terminal, connect it to the battery and cut whatever length of wire I need to connect to the fuse holder? I guess what I'm asking is the ring terminal on a piece of wire that's a pre-cut length?

No, its a 20 ft. long wire with a ring terminal on one end, so you can cut to whatever length you want. You really shouldn't have your fuse 3 ft away from the battery, 18 inches is the max recommended and even that is bad.
