kerf port masters needed!!!

ok so i want to start building kerf ports and i need to know is their any difference in tuning or finding square port are? do i get the SPA from the smallest part of the port or from the opening? will the port length be the same as a standard slot port?

any help with this topic is appreciated

After reading a few articles, I'd say that the tuning won't change enough for you to notice. Port length starts at the opening, not just the narrowest part.
