Kenwood Z828 Question

I am trying to hook up my sub woofer to the non-fading pre-outs....

I am not getting any audio though...

Does anyone know if you have to turn the pre-outs on?

I have a older kenwood but I dont have to turn them on but if you go far into the settings I have to turn it on and it will sound better and have many more options. But I dont know your unit to tell you yes or no. But there is a good chance theres that option on that deck. Did you check the manual.?
