I got this kenwood vz907 Indash touchscreen t.v. off of ebay a few days ago and it didn't come with a manual. Now i have installed hundreds of regular c.d. players in the past but never an indash t.v. when i got it i just wanted to hook it up to a battery just to see if it works but when i tried it the way that i do it to normal c.d. players it didn't turn on. I know that indash t.v.'s have a wire that connects somewhere that only allows the screen to come out and on if the car is in park but i have no idea which wire this is in the harnest. I noticed in the harnest there are two constant power wires, two ignition power wires and two ground wires and also a wire that says "EXT CONT" (would that be the wire that grounds out to the car when it is in park??) When i tried just hooking up to a battery i tied the power wires all together and touched them to the positve end of the battery and then tied the two ground wires together and touched them to the negative end of the battery and the unit still didn't come on??? i just need some help from someone who has installed a couple of these and knows what there talking about so i can see if this thing works.
