kenwood vs alpine

I stuck between buying a kenwood kac-8402 and an alpine f450 amp. They both produce about the same RMS. Just wondering which one is better. Any other recommendations around that price range is good too also.

What price range are we talking about here?

eBay or retail on the two you mentioned?

If it were a choice of only those two my natural loyalty to Kenwood would make me tell you to get that one. I think both are very comparable units and so long as you never ask more of it than it is designed for you wouldn't go wrong with either, quite frankly.

under 2 hundred ebay price. im trying to run 35w in the front and 150w in the back bridged.

Tee,I have run the Alpine F450 4 chanel amp since it came out.Ihave just borrowed a friends pdx4-150.If I like iti'll probably get it.The 450 is an extremely clean amp.I am running it in 4 ohm mode at the moment 70x4.This amp does nothing but slam.You won't go wrong with Alpine.In my little Sentra,I'm running 4 Alpine "r" co-ax, type'R' components w/tweeters,Alpine mrd 1005,450F,Alpine 9847 source unit,2 JL 12w3-3-4 wired to 2 ohms in a slotted port enclosure@1.75 cu.ft per sub.Alpine and JL--it's a great combination.Good Luck.....02 SENTRA..out
