Kenwood Remote wire problem.

Ok, when I originally installed the head unit prior to the big installation of everything else I found the blue/white wire labeled as "Power amp cont." wire to be the remote wire and it work in activating my amplifier.

So I installed the cd player into the dash and didn't touch any of it until now, that I have the two new amplifiers installed and they won't turn on because that previous remote wire isn't working.

So I took the cd player out of the dash and took the DMM to measure the voltage coming through the wire and it read only 0.04v's, I even decided to check out the voltage on the other "external amp control" wire, which also read 0.04v's.

Any ideas on whats going on?

Did you try wiggling the harness to see if maybe it was a bad harness pin connection?

sounds like a loose wire

Meh I just wired it into the ignition, shouldn't pose a problem should it?
