Quick question...

Has anyone scoped this particular HU to find out at what volume of max that distortion starts occurring? I have a friend that doesn't have access to an o'scope but would like to know what ballpark figure he can turn his HU up without it sending a distorted signal to his amps.

In my experience most fairly recent Kenwood HU's start clipping at volume setting 29/35 or thereabouts but I haven't scoped one to be able to give you an absolutely certain answer.

That's been a good ballpark point of reference for me at least and I haven't burned any amps or toasted any speakers/subs yet!
