Kenwood KDC-MP528 Overheating

I received this Kendwood KDC-MP528 model and had it installed today... after having it for over 30 min the sound of the music starts to die down and the quality of the music suffers tremendously. I noticed the immense heat coming from the unit and after removing a CD from the tray I felt like I wanted to put my hand in ice water of the burn I got.

What i find weird is that it does it with CD or Tuner and my previous Kenwood in my truck did the same thing but only when the CD was in the tray. What could cause this overheating? Faulty wiring? Bad Fuse? or the fact of cooling inside the hood or car (I have no A/C) - Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

All HU's have some sort of heatsink mounted on the back of the chassis and like an amplifier they need a small amount of room to dissapate heat.

Is there any way you can make alittle more room inside the dash mount to give a little extra space for the heatsink?.
