Kenwood KAC-9105D vs Alpine MRP-M1000

So I picked up a 10w7 yesterday, looking to get an amp for it. I'll be putting it in a 350z for what it's worth, and I'm stuck between these two amps. Not trying to spend $800 on other stuff and these seem to have the best specs out of all the $2-300 amps out there. Any recommendations?

For a JL, your going to want a JL amp or a Alpine PDX amp, since the W7 is a 3 ohm sub you most likely won't get good performance out of a 2 ohm amp...JL amps are designed for 3 ohm loads and the PDX amps put out 1000 watts RMS at 2-4 ohms.

The w7 is designed to act like a 4-ohm, says jl at least. The mrp-m1000 give 1000w at 2 ohms, 600 at 4 ohms. I would assume 3 ohms would be right in the middle, around 800. Being that this is a 750w sub, anywhere from the 600-800 would be good. JL recommends 5-600, but they're obviously being conservative so you can't blame them for cooking a coil

i disagree, I love alpine to death and currently have a ford fusion 2007. i own 2 alpine type-s 10" subs in a ported box. I bought the alpine amp your looking at because of its claimed power and was honestly not happy with it so i brought it back and bought myself the kenwood 1800peak 900rms for 300.00 to try that instead and was much more impressed with it than i was with the alpine. it hits hard and definently thumps i'm running it at 2ohm alittle over half way on the gain of the amp and -12 to -15 on the sub volume of my deck and no bass boost on loudness on. i think for the money the kenwood is your best bet. but i do love alpine i own a pdx4.100 great amp no doubt about it
