Hey just got this deck, and was wondering if its as good as crutchfield told me it is?

also, how do I configure it all? are there any good menus to getting the best sound?

and whats ur overall rating?

I havent bought my system yet. Im thinking either 2 12" CVR's and a hifonics bxi1206

or maybe that hifonics amp and 2 diamond d3 12's?

right now I have some crappy visonik 6.5" and 6x9's

but yea, for the money its a nice unit, xovers built in, decent eq, sub control

I was going to get the premier 600ub but this kenwood excelon had more features. it was an impulse buy, im glad i got it. now i just need to find some cheap 6.5's and 6x9's

It is a nice deck. I had the x-491 a good few months ago and enjoyed it. For a budget deck it is one of the better ones out there. Can't go wrong with an excelon deck.

Also a plus it has 4volts, but in your case as of now it really don't matter much. Sounds like you are heading in the right direction.

X2 though about asking about something after you buy it, lol!

I think he was referring to the fact that you're running a pair of craptastic 6x9s at the moment.

The pre-outs will help once you get some amps to plug into them !

I've been a user of the Excelon headunits for years. I'm currently running the x592. They're good units and I like the sleek, clean look.

my budget at the moment is this...

I want to build a box for 2 12's. I listen to alot of drumnbass music.and rap. So i like bass alot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif slot box with 12's have always made me happy. I found 2 kicker cvr's shipped for 150$ on ebay. havent bought them yet. nor have i bought the amp to power them. i was thinking the hifonics brutus amp.

so with the amp and subs thatll put me at 350.

so im going to say I have like 150$ left over to play with. maybe 200$ but it really depends of how much of a difference it will make for me to jump from 150 to 200. I wont have an amp for the door speakers and 6x9s unless this

audio logic al-1000 amp will work. its a 150x4

i had an awesome set of pioneer 3-way 6x9's back in the day. Those things really pounded even with the stock amp. They were rated at 220 watts, and i think i got 'em for about 50 bucks online. I later blew them doing somethign stupid with a 2channel amp, and the Kenwoods that replaced them weren't as good in the bass department. The kenwood 6x9s are rated at like 350 watts max.
