Kenwood eXcelon Headunits

I could use some input from you guys on which headunit I should go with...I can get a used Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X994 for only $35 but ive heard of connection issues with the faceplate and the other one is a Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X302 (manufacturer refurbished) I can get for only $70 on Amazon w/90 warranty. Which do you guys think I should go with? I believe that x994 was Kenwoods top model a few years back and has a 5-band eq & (3) sets of 4v preouts but the x302 has a 13-band eq, (3) sets of 5v preouts and Spotify which interests me. Well what do you guys thibk?

I did have connection issues with my Kenwood. Pretty annoying when trying to turn it down and you had to wait for it to reconnect.

The X302 sounds good for $70. 13 band EQ, 5 volt outputs, time alignment, and supports flac files.
