3way crossover,4volt,5 band EQ that is NOT adjustable frequency range

.......

band5 16khz

nottice the EQ starts at 62.5 and ends at 16khz

for a typical user its ok maybe.

not if you want more control over your music.

Issues with Kenwood X993
Hi

I am having a peculiar problem with my Kenwood X993. I am very much happy with the said unit. Of late, the unit has stopped playing MP3 songs on the CD. One thing which I observed it that there's a red light below the release button [ inverted triangle shape ] glowing all along when my head unit is ON. Its able to play normal Audio CD's. Another thing that I have noticed is that the "Bluetooth" switch is glowing always when by head unit is on, even though till date, I have never configured my phone with the head unit.

Is there any solution for the aforesaid issues ? I have not yet reset the headunit. I will try it to be the last option. I was wondering as to why the headunit is behaving this way ?

YMMV but if I wanted more control I'd go fully active.

I just installed a Kenwood DDX-896 touch screen and love it so far. It replaced a Alpine CDA-7998 which is 4 sale along with a Audio Control DQS which i didn't need with the HU

why dont you reset it.

its not like you gonna damage your unit.

thats the first thing we do is reset.

its electronics. sometimes errors happen.

if you dont think you can remember all your settings then write them down and reset.

yea if i want even more control ill add potentiometers to my RCAs... and make my amps recline

the point is the 592 has better EQ even though it doesnt have time allignment

its a very underrated unit and alot of people dont realize it

Thanks a lot for your reply.

I just did the reset option after noting down my configurations earlier.

One thing which I have noticed is that if I change the CD option from CD2 to CD1, I am able to play my MP3 CD's. That was wonderful. I didn't know how it got changed.

BTW, Can 993 users kindly confirm me if the red triangle near the top left and the bluetooth auto button are always glowing ? Even in day and night. ? I am seeing them glow even after reset.

excelons are the best bank for the buck HU on the market IMO......If you can find an oder model they came

with 5v outputs too
