Just got a used Kenwood DNX8120 to replace my old failing Alpine IVA c800 in my truck and am trying to install it. I'm having trouble with figuring out some of the wires in the harness that came with the Kenwood since the Alpine had only 3 wires in the harness that was connected to it - the blk ground, yellow for the battery lead and the orange one and the Kenwood harness has a lot more. Now hooking up only these 3 wires to the Kenwod powers it up and the GPS works fine with the connected antenna, but there's no sound etc. There are some amps and a sub that were connected to the Alpine but they came with the truck when I bought it and I didn't wire them. There's also a PAC OS-1 block for the On Star retantion option and looks like most of the wires are running thru it. What's the best way to figure out which wires need to be connected to the kenwood harness in order for it to work? ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!
