I have a Kenwood Excelon KAC-x811d. On a new 12" Type-R. I would think it does almost rated power, but it doesnt seem to be the "JL" type of really clean crisp "tight" explosive power. We have had a JL 500/1 on my subs when i had two new type-r 12's and it was more powerful than the "1016 watts RMS" kenwood. My friend has the 9152D on two Kicker CVR 15's Sealed and its pretty loud. Both get hot at 1 ohm but at 2ohm there pretty good they stay really cool. The 9152 would definatley push a Type-R to its limits easily, get a dual 4 and run it at two ohms with the 9152 and you wont be dissapointed.
