Kenwood 693 or hd942

Hello, I am haveing a hard time deciding on which one to get. KDC-HD942U

or KDC-X693 ? I have compared the two and I see two things that are different between the two.

The 693 is Excelon and says it has a 5 band EQ

The 942 is HD radio and 3 band EQ

Do's the Excelon make a big difference ? I listen to the radio alot so I am kindof leaning towards the HD942.....but not sure of the Excelon part. Dos anyone know what the Excelon adds to the hu ?

Any suggestions on either one....good or bad ?

I can't compare the units at all, but what I can say is that the 693 is very nice and feature packed. I love the iPod control it offers, way better than anything else on the market for that. It also. sounds quite nice and has a really good tuner.

not sure bout the 942 but the excelon has 4 volt preouts also.
