Kenwood 2-ways. Top-Mount or Bottom-Mount?

Got some Kenwood speakers in the rear which are bottom mounted. Working on the front doors which i knw are most likely gonna be top mounted. Wondering if top mounting or bottom mounting makes a difference on sound. If so i will change them 2 be top-mounted asap. Please gimme n e and all feedback on this issue. thanx.

What kind of car or truck do you have? do you have enough mout depths? will it hit your windows?

Its a saturn sedan and it wouldnt be hitting my windows. There would b enough room but not sure if top or bottom mounting makes a difference.

well I like it to the bottom of the door not to far of the bottom kind of a half way almost in the center of the door. So it doesn't blearlying away on to your ears or to the floor of the back of the car. so you can feel it little more. are you making a new back door panels on your doors to go with these set of speakers?

im actually talking about screwing them in by dropping them in from the top of the hole or from up underneath. i have the screwed in from up underneath not dropped down from the top. does this matter as far as the sound?

I'd have to think that's gonna rattle, so yes.

you'll get better sound if you top mount...it will be a more solid frame mount than just 4 screws holding it in place...and less vibration which may cause rattles...due to poor seal
