Keeping my amp cool in this summer heat...

I need help. I fear the amp I have will not last through this Texas summer heat. Today my car was reading at 109 degrees! My amp will play for a bit before it finally goes into protect mode to keep itself from overheating, and its only on a total of 10-15 minutes before it turns off for about 2-3 minutes than comes back on. I'm trying to avoid using it as not to completely destroy the amp. What can I do to help keep it cooled off? I fear a fan will simply not be enough as I have the amp in my trunk.

make sure you make and enclosure for the fans and the amp.. the fans will not force enough air on it in a free air environment.. if you make a push pull system it will work a lot better.. 2-4 fans pushing air across it and on the opposite side 2-4 fans pulling the hot air off the amps..
