JL Audio ~Keep'em IF you can sell em

Reason~ Reasons stated well known name with really good rep, and for those who want to show off how much their system cost

Pioneer ~Keep'em

Reason~ solid budget equip also well known and makes some good stuff too

Kenwood~Drop'em

Reason~ No need to keep with Pioneer/Alpine/Kicker/Clarion budget equip

TMA ~Keep'em ~Drop'em

Reason~ I have no experience with this brand (actually first time I have heard of them)

Clarion ~Keep'em

Reason~ Never personally used them but never heard anything good and always seemed to have great features for the price on the HU's

Kicker ~Keep'em

Reason~ nearly everyone has heard of Kicker, specially the subs and compared to others may seem like a good middle of the road price point

RE Audio ~Keep'em

Reason~ Large variety of subs, something for everyone and something different than what everyone has

US Amps ~Keep'em ~Drop'em

Reason~ I like their high end stuff Merlin/AX but would take a kicker or Alpine over theur XT line

Dual ~Drop'em

Reason~ Get Jensen instead, good to have a low end brand for those looking to play DVD's or MP3's and don't care the other specs

Alpine ~Keep'em

Reason~ Love their HU's and seem to offer good speakers/comps and subs

Dynamat ~Keep'em ~Drop'em

Reason~Tough choice, people really know dynamat over other stuff, but if you can swap with SecondSkin and show people how much they save and how similar it is then definitly drop dynamat

Now Should I Pick them Up?

Morel ~Yes

Reason~ High end stuff, and will set you apart from the general places Best Buy, Circuit City, Crutchfield where many of the noobies will be looking

Genisis ~No

Reason~ Not too much experience with them, I know really good stuff but honestly thinking a little over the top for the average car audio shop.

Arc Audio ~Yes

Reason~ Good higher end amps, and again different for the easy to find mainstream brands

Image Dynamics ~Yes

Reason~ Great subs, awsome SQ for those who are looking for the best

Second Skin ~Yes

Reason~ If you can sell it over the name of Dynamat, show cost saving and should be good

Memphis ~No

Reason~ Most all the places around me carry Memphis, its pretty much the same as Kicker just Kicker is more well known I would say you could interchange Memphis/Kicker but I would stick with Kicker

try to find out what brands people in your area know and like. couse alot of people dont know for example Morel or Genisis. people know main stream brand better, like JL, Pioneer.

Yea I don't see how you could drop JL. That is a house hold name. So is dynamat, even though Second skin is much better for the price. Thats the problem with these smaller companies. Obviously everyone on a car audio board is going to tell you to go with the "internet" companies just because anything mainstream on this board is crap. Just my .02

Also, I don't see the point in having Kicker and Memphis, I would pick one of those.

Wow, your shop has some pretty good brands.. Over where I live its nothing like that..

The best brands we have are RF, Pioneer, JBL, and JL..

along with all that kewl xplod equipment
