keep sa-12s or 2 dc xl 12's

Should i keep my sa-12s and run 1000watts a piece to them or sell them and get 2 dc xl 12's and put 1,000 a piece This is going in a 2000 mercury cougar. I want something that will get low. so if there is anything else i should get instead please feel free to share.

I would imagine the SA would do just fine, if you want lower or more output, look to bigger subs. I know with the SKAR subs, they can really dig low, you could tune to 28hz and have no problem.

The xl's will take alot more power but side by side both getting the same watts it want be worth the extra $$$ for the dc's. Now if u can provide a real 3k plus then I would say Dc's.
