Then enjoy your New Bay. I'll stick to DJ Quik, Khayree, Saafir, Ant Banks, Spice 1, C-Bo, Hieroglyphics, Mac Mall, The Coup, Above The Law, MC Eiht, Mac Dre, Twinz, Souls Of Mischief, K Dee, etc. The West is far cry from what they used to be.

Haha...Spice 1 was the shit back in the day, Amerikkka's Nightmare is still one of my favorite rap albums.

Tech n9ne needs to come out with some new songs.

I thought Jay-z's volume 2 was the last good CD he ever made, but people have differing opinions, some hated volume 2. I thought he flowed a lot better on that CD. His new ones sound more like he talking throughout the song, not really flowing. There are a few songs that I like on the Black album cd or whatever that new one he has is called. But I liked practically every song on volume 2. I loved track 8 on volume 2 called Coming of age

I was thinking of getting kanye's cd, but now I'm starting to wonder. I also like that song that's out by Eamon or whatever his name is. something about the way the vocal notes are arranged.

I know what your talking about, but I don't know what albums they exist on and if they do even exist on albums. I don't get some of these rappers. They're like one album wonders. I liked 50 cents get rich or die trying cd, but then the g unit cd isn't as good. Personally eminem just seems to be getting better and better. The lines that he has on some of obie trice cd, 50 cent cd and his own latest cd were good. I didn't really like his 1st cd much. I thought he was just being hyped up because he was another white guy trying to get into the rap scene.

By the way do any of you know the name of that 50 cent remix where he uses the beat from "til the lights go out" and raps to it? They had a little cut of it on like vh1 or some station like that at the end of the program that was talking about the history of rap.

And I can deal with some of the commercial stuff too. I like listening to some of it as long as I dont try to dig too deep. You just have to take it for what it is and enjoy it. I try to do that with all music, just enjoy it for what it is. But I've got to say classic rock, older rock (90s), and real hip hop (Gauntlets list and what I have above) are my favs by far.

Have any of you heard of a rapper by the name smoot? I saw him on some texas justice show and he sounded good. I'm trying to find a site about him. I'm going to post this as a new thread.
