K&b Audio Repair Sucks

UPDATE!!!!

This is their email back, mind you they recieved the amp june 22, this is from july 22:

Beau,

This is Sergey, I spoke to you last week. I think I jumped the gun

when I said the amp was finished. It did not work once I reassembled

it, and I'm still working on it. I apologize the delay, this does not

happen to us often. I'm hoping to have it done this weekend, but

please feel free to call.

I had a great experience with them. Turnaround was in 1 day and I had the amp back in less than 1.5 weeks, this is including the 8 days in shipping back and forth. Hope Sergey gets this straightened out.

I find a lot of the times it's hit or miss with smaller companies. I ordered some car parts from a well known place throughout the industry and waited 3 months and got BS the entire time. I have heard many other stories about the company which have been most desireable. Luck of the draw.

 
sergeys a good guy with all good intentions...

they may have not had the part needed for the repair and called it in from partsexpress or something...

Sergey is one of the best in the 12v business. Everytime I have sent him an amp, it has been outta there within 48 hours. He even benched my PB XA3000d and spent over an hour talking about the layout of the amp while he was benching it.

Sometimes his volume becomes insane, and it takes him a little while to catch up. He is always there to help though. I am sorry you didn't have the best experience.

I'm sure it's not normal to have him repairing 2400d's either - I'd imagine the drive section parts he doesn't stock because well... How many huge *** amps does he fix in a year?

I should open up the one I have here and see what it uses - I can't imagine it being something that would be a commonly stocked part though.

 
I bought two amps from him that he had repaired. Both still work great and while I was buying them from him the communication was great. I hope all of this gets worked out.

 
UPDATE!!

Its been about 5 weeks and he finally told me that he couldn't fix it and that he is going to refund my money. He is a nice guy, but what took 5 weeks to finally realize that he couldnt fix it?

So now I am stuck with blown Viper 2500.1 and I have no where to get it fixed. Any suggestions?

Did you get it from ikesound? If so, they will be able to send you a receipt.....When I got my Viper 2500 from them, there was a warranty paper in the box, saying that DEI offered a six month warranty on it. How long ago did you buy it?
