JVC Sq??

How is the sound quality of JVC compared to other brands(pioneer, kenwood,eclipse)? lookin at gettin the nx7000 but dont know know the sq is on it?

from the internal amp or the eq onboard? They always sounded fine to me going either avenue. IMO the other amps make more of an impact on sound

both really, just tryin to get a idea of how they hold up against other brands.

im b goin from a pioneer to maybe a jvc and just seein if ill lose any sq

shouldn't. I like the sound of the JVC hu's over the pioneers personally, but I hate the JVC remotes and controls. Just make sure you get good outboard amps and it won't even matter. I recommend rockford power series

what u mean by outboard amps?

if you mean by sub and comps amps, i was lookin at sundown

i like the avx1 i have. i'm probably going to get the new jvc chameleon. only complaint i have is the low preout voltage on the sub, which is a very small issue. i believe it's 5v instead of 2v on the new ones anyway

PIONEER ALPINE AND JVC are all kind of the same, their higher line up is,

I think those are the top 3 brands for HU's

I've had the avx2, kd-g820 (twice) and now have the kd-ar880 and they all were cool. yes that's what I meant by outboard amps and sundowns are good

4. Eclipse

A HU is a HU is a HU. Find one with the features that you like at a price you're willing to pay and buy it. You aren't going to hear a difference, even in the built in "amps" (because all HU power is built on pretty much the same chip regardless of brand and they all ****).

As helotaxi mentioned, buy want you need, can afford and fits you. I have the JVC KD-NX5000. It does more crap than I need.
