I just installed a JVC KD-HDR1 receiver in my car, but have to take it back out since it turns out that the ignition and battery wires (yellow and red wires) need to be reversed on my car.
I noticed before install it, that there are two pairs of locking tabs in the sleeve. The usual ones on each side of the unit, along with two more, one on the top and one on the bottom diagonally opposed from one another.
The removal tools that came with the unit seem to be only for the sides, as I cannot see anyway to insert them above or below the unit. The instructions also only make note of the two locking tabs located on the side of the unit. I think these are universal instructions and this new deck uses addition locks which are not mentioned in the instructions..
Anyway, does anyone know how to disengage the other set of locks on the top and bottom? I can disengage the locks on the sides and it'll pull out maybe an eight of an inch before it hits the other set of locks.
