JVC Head Units...good? bad?

I love mine! haha. I bought one that came with a usb cord (not that its necessary) and it works great. I have it set now where I change songs and everything via my pod, but you can use the HU for that.

the jVC units don't have pause so using them for burps can be a little "challenging" but you can work around that. Besides that i love the units, been using Jvc exclusively the last 3 years

The JVC hu i have pauses. All you gotta do is push the main button/wheel thingy down and it'll pause. My dad bought a JVC almost just like mine though and his doesnt pause. idk

My manual says KD-A605/KD-R600. I dont feel like searchin for it and posting a link for ya. Sorry. Kinda feelin lazy ha

to be completly honest i sell both radios. that are both great radios, but the kenwood is a bit easier to use. and i hate them **** jvc remotes. the both sound very clean, but if i were to pick one it would be the kenwood. it has the better out-puts. its easier to navigate through, flip donw face (if u even care). and the kenwood as a lil bit bigger display. i used to be up pioneers *** until i got my excelon screen. that got stolen and i put my pioneer back in and it sounds like sh!t compared to the kenwood.

don't really know about the jvc's recently,but i love my excelon. never had any issues with it after having it for 2 years

I just checked and my HU is a JVC KD-R600.

It says it has 2.5v/20k(ohm) load subwoofer-out level/impedance. What does that mean?

The KD-A605 has 5.0v btw

I ended up spending a couple extra bucks and got the Kenwood Excelon X693 instead of the JVC. I'll be installing it next weekend and I'll let you guys know how I like it. Thanks again for all of the input!

I have a JVC KD NX5000 and love that deck...it has to be the nicest single DIN unit you can buy...it has navigation...built in hard drive storage...nice graphics...easy to bypass the DVD part

love mines, and its rare now too. 5v preouts, 3 way active crossover, time alignment, the works. also the ipod controller is good, not the best, i liked pioneer more, but it does the job.

Just got the new kd-avx77 and couldn't be happier,touch screen,bluetooth,usb 2.0, ipod control, dvd 5.1 ect.... really, nothing else like it in a single din on the market.
