JVC Arsenal KD-AR5500?

I'm a newcomer to car audio, but ive been reading alot about the different features to look for. Ive been looking into getting the JVC Arsenal KD-AR5500. I was wondering if anyone knows about the crossover features in this units (if it has them, if they're variable, etc), and also what exactly "multi-bit" DAC means. "Multi" can simply mean more than 1 bit, and 2 bit wouldn't be as good as 24 bit, right? Also, I'm wondering about the overall sound quality this unit posesses, if any of you know?

If you just don't really like the unit, can you recommend a comparable unit that either Panasonic, Pioneer, or Clarion make?
