Jayson Williams was found not guilty of manslaughter, but guilty of 3 counts of tampering with evidence, tampering with witnesses, hindering apprehension, and fabricating physical evidence......otherwise known as four things that determine your guilt or innocence of manslaughter. Furthermore, he's not going to get any jail time.

I wish I was rich, because I would love to kill some people.

dude...he did it. i maybe wrong but didnt he admit he did it but said it was an accident or something along those lines? i dont quite remember as i stopped payin attention to the trial until gaunlet posted what happened in the case.

well then havent you thought that it really WAS an accident? the only reason you guys think hes guilty is because he is black. if he was white then no one would care.

I'm about as black as they come and alot older than most that post on this forum. I've seen alot of injustice in my time and alot of justice as well. Do I believe that race played a factor in this case...No. Do I believe that he should be found guilty of Manslaughter.....No. His a** should have been found guilty of Negalent Homosuide(or however you spell it) which carrys a much harsher sentence.

Anytime you mix drinking, a need to show off for your friends, and a loaded weapon, together someone is bound to get hurt or die! Even though he was being an a** to Gus all night I do not believe it was Jason's "intent" to kill Gus, that part truely was an accident but it still doesn't justify how they handle things from that point forward. "Intent" also is one of the factors that will effect what the charge is or at least in theory that's how it's "supposed" to work.

i think most of us think he's guilty cause he was walking around his house with a loaded shotgun and blew away his limo driver then tried to make it look like he killed himself.
