the rice and silica will work too....i would try it...cant hurt nething....nething that absorbs (instant potatoes, rise, kitty litter, oil-dry, silica) will all work.

Yeah you don't want to force air into it alot of times it will just push moisture into places it hasn't gotten to yet. I am in south GA right now, was out for a 20 minute walk and got doused in water in a sudden rain storm that I had to walk back through. My phone was in my pocket, got soaked and stopped working. I just took the batt. out and let it sit for a day and it turned right back on.

i did the same thing except the little girl was playin with it and dropped it in the dogs water bowl. brought it to me all wet and i took the battery out, and covered it in rice for the night, it turned back on, but when i open it the screen goes out. insurance wont cover it.
