Just want to double check I'm doing everything right

I'm going to be running 2 amps: Hifonics ZX7500 which will be bridged to 8 ohms and be producing about 5-600 W and a Jenson amp for my speakers which will be producing about 200W. With this low amount of power and a wire length of about 10ft I'm good with 4 awg wire right? What about if I added another sub and was producing 1200W total would I have to upgrade to 1/0? Wire will be ran to a distro block and then for the next question:

Can I have 4 awg wire run to my distro block and then split it into 2 4awg runs? Only reason I ask is because it seems like every set-up I see the distro block is used to go from a lower awg to a higher one and not stay at the same size.

Finally my last question: Is there any harm in putting 4 awg wire in my Jenson amp even though its supposed to only accept 8 awg? Will this put to much current into it and fry it or will it not matter?

Thanks alot. Should be easy questions to answer just want to double check I'm ok with my thinking.

You should be fine with the 4 awg as long as its a good brand (kicker, knukonceptz, etc).

You can run the distro block like u said without a problem, usually it goes to a higher gauge because its cheaper that way.

4 gauge will NOT ruin ur amp, actually the bigger the better since it creates less resistance.

One way to prevent this , is take a run of power wire after the distroblock and run it to where you have it grounded, it drains some of the current away from the amp to prevent it from frying.

But since I'm gonna be running power to my sub amp thats basically the same thing then right, it'll be drawing more current to it and leaving less for the speaker amp? Another question that popped up is how do the 2 amps split the power coming through the wire?

No, everything will be fine... just take a run of the power wire after the distro block and run it to the ground without a fuse (very important) ... it will help drain off any excess current and your sub/speaker amps will be fine

are u trying to set his car on fire or something?

Hopefully not. Don't run any power to the ground, that'll cause a fire. Twistid is just being an ***.
Yea, I'm not that stupid I wouldn't do that. But I'm still trying to find time to get everything hooked up. With school and work and a lack of tools I have to do everything the hard way.
