These are getting harder to find but when I do find them I get all gitty, cause some people just don't know what a gem this little amp is.

JBL BP 1200.1

1200w @ 1-2 ohms.. but have been known to do up to 1375.

I literally just got home with it it from a trade, and so far I have had it running on some old 12 inch L5's that I got too. Best I can say right now is that it works.. I will be testing the outputs etc tomorrow. Cosmetic I would say a 7.5/10. Working appears to be 10/10 so far.. when its light out i'm going to stretch its legs some so I can give you a final review on the functionality of it. When I finish my inspection I will probably be listing it in the for sale section.

ONCE AGAIN, IT ISN'T FOR SALE YET..

I am just stoked that I found another one of these, and they never have disappointed me yet... I love these amps but they aren't what I am needing for my build to come. Anyone else have experience with this amp?

I ran the bp600.1 on an Adire Brahma 10" awhile back, then I upgraded to the bp1200.1 when I found some refurbs for sale for $199 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I ordered 2 of them and a friend ran the other one on a pair of Memphis M3-12's.

Strong little amps. ~1400wrms @ 1ohm. They tend to perform better if you used both RCA inputs, just get some 2male-1female RCA y-splitters.

The only thing the lack is SSF. You can grab a pair of Harrision Labs FMODs though, I used the 30hz highpass ones.

I was going 148's w/ 1 RE SX15 @ 1ohm w/ that amp in my '98 silverado.

I had a bp1200.1. I actually had two. Once when I was pretty young, I bought one off of ebay. It had the orange transparent pieces taken out, the top part removed and replaced with a pretty nifty piece of clear transparent glass, painted silver on the top and then a LED inside was taken out and replaced with a blue one. It was one sharp amp. I took the amp apart to replace the LED with one from SuperbrightLED's.com and I wont say on here what I did while putting it back in the car, but lets just say I killed it and it wasnt the amp's fault.

I bought another one to replace it. I had it behind my back seat of my Silverado and it somehow shorted out and went up in smoke in my truck. Im not sure really what happened.

With my experiences with these great amps is that I messed the first one up by myself and it ran for 5 years after I bought it used. The second one, well.... Im not sure, but with my experience with this amp and the one I made smoke in my truck, is about 10+ years of just me owning them. Thats not including who had them before. Just a shame that I had the 1200.1's at the age when I was learning about car audio. I read from here that they were great amps atleast.

Great amps, almost indestructible, stays cool at 2ohms, and fairly inexpensive, if you can find them. I cant say how cool they stay at 1 ohm. It doesnt have a fan, but then again, they do last, so it may not be a problem. 2 ohm rms is roughly 1250 watts and at 1 ohm is roughly 1375-1450 watts rms on the birthsheet if I remember correctly.
