Just not satisfied with RE SR

Ok, so I installed an re SR in my ranger last night and have been playing it all today.

Setup

RE SR (10")

1.0 cu ft at 33-34hz

Elemental Desgins 9.2X (600wrms at 12.5v)

I like the SQ of the sub, and dont get me wrong I guess its ok loud for a single 10, but it just not that put a smile on your face after a long day at work loud that I like.

I had 2 re SE 12's off an aq2200, and loved it.

I was wondering, since this is in a single cab ranger if I could get around 136-138 loud with 4X sundown e8's (sealed) off this amp (ed Designs).

I thought it would be louder, but I guess I had too high of standards for a single 300wrms 10"

Kinda hard to compare a single 10" SR to 2 SEs man. I had 2 SEs a while back and loved them also...

I love the sound of RE's different lines Ive tried. (sr, and se)

I like the good low end these subs seem to have.

Ive tried planet audio, kicker cvr,comp,L7,CVT,Hifonics,Orion,MTX, JL, Sony about every retail brand and nothing compares to the lowend of these.

Im just not completely satisfied with this setup.

One of my friends just installed a 10" SE in his s10 ported in 1.2 at around 34 and it hits about the same or a little harder and it's off a memphis PR500 at 2 ohm :/

Se's must be touched by the hand of god.

you could probly get those numbers with a 9.1, but really doubt it with the 9.2

Im runnin 1 10" SE now on about 700watts and its pretty loud to me. Yes, the SEs have been touched... lol

i think it's the box. box will have far more to do with performance. i bet 1.5 tuned to 32-35hz would be better.

You may have based it off the right model, but to clarify it's the 9.2X

600wrms at 12.5 probably does 700wrms

a 12 sealed would work well in 1 cube

it could be. cone area isn't everything though. 4 8's is more interesting than 1 12 anyway.

300 rms isn't going to impress anybody. Especially if you had 2 SE's before.

The sub is rated 300w, the amp is rated 6-700wrms the sub is taking probably about 4-500wrms.

Does anyone have experience with the sundowns sealed?

What is this based off of?

I know slamming home theaters...ex.. less than 300wrms

Please though, im looking for opinions of the sundowns, not interested in a flame war.
