its running off my 20.1 at 2.2, gains are where there where when i had my btl hooked up, i believe its around half way, and bass on the H/U all the way up, im sure its being clipped....but i can tell that this is definately going to be louder than my btl was. and there is definately more pressure in the port, like the btl you could feel the air move, and thats really it, but with this i could actually feel the pressure from it when i put my hand in the port, i dont know if its me just being dumb or what though...

kinda crappy, but w/e....

its d4, the lowest im gonna get it is 2...and ya the light in my truck was on but it didnt do much at all, ill try and get a better vid when i got off work tomorrow if its still light out...

oo and i plan on strapping a pair of 20.1's on it once i have teh moniez...

i dont think its really a fair comparison between the two subs for 1 reason. the port and sub are firing different directions than when you had the btl.

i know in my buddies ranger i did sub up, port forward and this shit was quiet. when you opened a door though, boom it was like 2 times as loud.

what im getting at, is the btl box might have been causing something similar, while the sub up port up (for instance like ngsm runs in his dakota) or sub up port side (like tommyk) could be a much better option and actually make it sound like there is a sub in there.

its a test, but i dont think its a fair test IMO.

ya i know, but this is also why i wanted to get rid of the btl, really the only way i could situate the box is port/sub forward, and i wanted to get some room back but i also wanted to try and keep the spl of the btl with the new setup....

i know if i could have given the btl a proper box and had the room to fire the sub/port in different directions it would have worked great, but in my application that just wasnt possible...which is why i figured with a smaller sub, in a proper enclosure with a good amount of power, i could get just as loud, if not louder...

well i did that to see how well it would take the power and to see what it sounded like...i was just trying to get it as loud as i could with what little power it was seeing...im not the kind of dumbass that maxes out the gain and all other settings as a volume knob.........

nothing wrong with that.

Its weird how you were excited about the DD and I wanted the BTL more. Of course I already have an amp and can give mine 3.5k.

i know...i really didnt think itd be this hard to sell my 20.1, i thought about just getting a second and strapping them, but i really dont want to deal with that much power in my truck...at least not yet.....
