Just made a 9 hour drive

Just drove home from school, ~550 miles and 9 hours. I left at 10 PM and got home at 8 AM, with the extra hour coming from the time change. I am wired on caffeine at the moment, but will be asleep shortly.

Anyone else have to make drives like that frequently? It kind of sucks, but that's why I got my system, makes it a little less boring.

yeah man, i make the trip from lubbock to houston 3-4 times a year. 8-8.5 hour drive, 500 miles and not a **** thing to look at on the way.

i dont know how you could make that drive during the night, id fall asleep for sure even with caffeine

When i was working i traveled back and forth to michigan every weekend. Its a 4 and a half hour drive one way. With stops and whatever else it was about 10 hours total every weekend.

I spend almost 2 hours a day driving back and forth to school.

Yea, I start in Michigan UP, there is nothing there. It comprises about 1/3 the state's land but has less than 1/10 of the state's population, it is boring as hell, plus it is all 2 lane roads, no highways.

takes me around 2 minutes from my driveway to school, lol i leave my house 10 minutes before school starts.

Well, at the start of the school year, Thanksgiving break, Christmas break, Spring break and at the end of the school year. I did it one extra time for a weekend this year for a friends wedding. It is 4,000+ miles a year on my vehicle just driving to and from school.

I think it all depends on the car and the entertainment provided. I could rock an S550 or LS430 on that drive and never skip a beat. Especially if I lock out the Navi and play movies.

i drove back and forth 8 times to school, 23 hours each way (Give or take depending on traffic and weather), from Providence to Tampa, the last two times i did it, i went alone and didnt stop anywhere to sleep, 24 hours straight. thank god for coffee and adderall

Yea, I drive a GMC Jimmy, but I play music on my ipod for the trip and having a nice stereo makes it nicer.
