Just heard a 15" fi BTL and WOW! What gets as loud?

Ok the hdc3 is at the top of my list but how does it compare to the dc lvl 4 and this sub from tc sounds looks awesome 50 lbs

and should i pay more for the aluminum coils are they louder? wats the diff?

AQ and DD subs sound like crap. Look through the classifieds section. You can find a BTL 15 for that price.

They can take 2000 watts w/o problems.

Aluminum coils are for like competing for like 3000 watt setups, they just stay cooler under high power (not necessarily louder)

I've never heard a BTL, but if there both 12" on 2k watts the difference in SPL can't be too much maybe ones 1-2db louder than the other.

I know people with AQs and they ****. Straight up. Play 40hz+ decently loud but they sound hollow. No force behind them and wont play low worth a crap.

Well im considering a btl how does the mayhem compare to the btl, im really open here, I don't like copying people lol but I want a loud sub that sounds good.

I will tell you this.. It probably isn't as loud as you think meter wise.. they are low end monsters so they seem loud.. I have an 18" btl.. Sounds Loud as hell but won't meter like the people with swarms of bees in their cars

the btl? How does the bl sound compared to the btl? ive heard the btl is basically an spl sub. but i want to KILL some lows. and still be rediculously loud too, on an saz 2000d

btls are to heavy in the low end. granted my box is tuned to 31hz it pretty much has terrible output above 50 hz and slams below 40. very peaky in the low end. I would get a 15" alpha or xcon or something along those lines. if you want 2k get a sub rated for 1-1.5k rms. you will not be happy with a 2k sub on 2k amp. i like to have at least 50% more power capable from the amp than the sub is rated for. ie 1500 watt amp for a 1000 watt sub. its even better if you have 100% more, many subs will take their max power rating as long as the enclosure is proper and the signal is clean. i have my btl on 4k daily and its fine, just wish it had more output between 50-80hz

I heard a 15" btl and it was exactly what I wanted as far as output, but Im not up to date on the subs you mentioned can you show me some links, I found a DD 3515 on e-bay would that compete to the BTL? and if i buy a 15" btl what is a good enclosure size net, and how much port area? is one 6" aero enough? I cant go longer than 17" unless I port out the side than I can go 25" It will be in a 2-dr 97 blazer
