I just got my 12'' zcon d2 delivered. I checked the voice coils with my dmm and both are at 1.7 Is that normal?

Yep it's common for the resistance of each coil to be a bit off, it's no biggy.

yeah i figured it was ok. it's just usually when i see the resistance is off it usually goes up by .1 or .2 not down by .3 but then again i still dont know ****. haha with the amount of money i've spent a little paranoia is justified.

Some dual 2 coils rest at 1.4 and the dual 1's rest at 0.7. Really depends on what they use. If your coils start reading 3+ ohms, be worried lol

That is DC resistance, not impedance.

it's perfectly fine. wont change anything as far as performance.
