hi guys,

i the FedEx truck just came and i got my sq hdc3-115 sub.

HDC3.115 Copper Coil Subwoofer

my god this think is a BEAT..

cant wait to get my box.

as we speak im installing all my wires, sub amp, blocks, ect...

i just had to say something about this sub. i was blown away trying to lift this sub as its heavy.

when i get my box and get the sub mounted ill take some pics...

im just very happy........

with my camera i can take video but not sure how good they are as i have not don't a video. with it before. but ill try.

and ya this is my first ( REAL AUDIO ) so im just blown away. the guy at sq as i talked to him and he told me this sub was a beast and he was right.

im going to power this sub with a ppi 1800.1 amp.

in a few months im going to get another sub ( same one ) and get another ppi amp.

but for now 1 sub is enough.... well we will see... lol

not sure how to post a video on youtube. ill have to look into it.

dam 100 lb sub. well like i said this is my first real system. i just cant imagine a sub that big. im going to look them up.. lol

im going by,, my kicker 12" and box don't weigh as much as this sub.

but does a subs weight have anything to do with how good it plays ?

also i have a ? as im in the process of installing mt sub amp. im putting it down on carpet, should i put spacers under it so its not laying on the carpet? for better cooling ?

if it vents through the bottom then it would not hurt to space it up a little bit.

there's no vents on the bottom. im just worried it will get to hot. maybe ill just do it then ill feel better.

if there is no openings or vents then it should not get hot at all on the bottom. screw it in and get some pics and a video of that sub. looking into getting them as well
