Just Got My DC LVL 4, What should I tune the port to?

more port area? 13 inches per cube isnt good enough? i tried to get more but the port had to be too long for 30 htz tuning. thats what he told me he wanted was 30

Sounds a lil bit too small... I'd go for like 2.25-2.75, tuned to 32-34hz, and 35-42sq in of port.

total it is almost 3. 1.9 is after sub and port displacment

Same box tuned to 32 or 33hz will still pick up the same lows a 30hz tuned bow will. The 30hz tuning will just make the port length overtly long.

There are very very few songs that will dip below 30hz to begin with... Even songs that do go super low like Juice Box or Put On are in the low 30s. Most rap music will be in the 40hz-60hz range and tuning @ 30hz will cause the ported box to have a much more significant roll off @ the higher hz levels.

I almost never tune below 32hz in any of the builds i do for myself or friends. Even tuning like 34 or 35hz will still destroy the lows of 99.9% of songs.

hmmm ok well i guess ill give him 32 htz tuning. mines at 32 and i love it

ok i cut the port down 3 inches to make it 32.4 htz.
