Just got metered

Wow, I don't know what kind of meter, but it's a Hifonics Brutus 1606 amp with an Alphasonic 900 series woofer... He did say that it's probably alot higher than it showed cause it hasn't been calibrated lately.. I did see that it only went to 120 though on the dial.. It was a generic Radio Shack meter.. To me, it sounds alot louder than 125 db's and he seemed to agree too.

yea, should be higer. i got 130 off of 200w and a kicker c12. big factor also is the car it is in. i know someone with 3 cvr 12s and a kx1200.1 and couldnt break 130, due to his new yorker having a metal shield across the back seat.

i did 134 with 2 12" in a crappy prefab with a mono walmart amp that said 300 peak watts. lol

those average radioshack and walmart db meters are shit. find someone with a termlab and have it tested

Im sure thats at least a 130....i did 134 with a 12 RE and 300watts....so you should be good for that at least

I think that I'm able to break a 132 by blowing into the meter, so no.

do u just want to know where u stand

just base it on how u like the sound and if ur not happy tell us exactly what ur running and we will tell u how to get louder, sound better or whatever u want

yea find a TL and have it metered...From there you may need to build a new box or get a diff set up

thats because they measure sound PRESSURE not the actual loudness...you should be able to be ALOT louder thenthat by just blowing into the meter...
