There are no Termlabs in town I live in Pensacola, FL but the best shop in town uses a Gold-Line SPL 162, which they said that was calibrated to be within 1db of the B&K spl meters. I do not know anything about these meters so I am asking you guys how accurate they are, this shop sells US Amps and RE Audio, Critical Mass and other high quality brands so I figured that the Gold-Line SPL meter would also be high quality since that is how they deal with high quality equipment.

Now for the results: Vehicle: 2004 Dodge Durango

HU: Kenwood KDC-X891

Subs: 2 AQ 15" HD3's

Sub amps: 2 US Amps MD3D's, strapped(2007 models)

Song played: Walk it Out

SPL score: 151.7 db sealed up on dash.

Tell me what you experienced competitors think, is this a fairly accurate score or should I not take it too serious? Note that this was my average on music in a daily driver setup, the enclosure is an 8 net cube ported enclosure tuned to 40hz. Let me know what you guys think

Thats a nice score though, whether or not itll drop a couple decibels when you try a TL, its still **** loud if you ask me.. what frequency did u peak at or do you know?

Andrew

i think you are **** near close to that score if you use a tl.

i think on a tl, you'd be 149-150

nice score............does the sq keep up w./ the output w/ those subs? i mean, was it distorted when you got the 151?

I do not know what my peak freq was, I did not play any tones just music. And yes the SQ keeps up with the SPL it does not distort, not that i could hear. Next time I get metered I will play a sweep and some tones to see where I peak at. I did however play various songs and Walk it Out is what I hit the 151.7 with. Other music varied from 148-151, all were very bass heavy songs, such as Lil' Jon Throw it Up and some others tracks from the Kings of Crunk CD.
