mexicans are cool.. when i was in Indianapolis i lived in an apartment complex full of em, they would always be chillin in the parking lot drinkin and grillin, they always had an extra beer, wasnt much for conversation but they arent as quick to judge us as we are to judge them. one time this drunk dumbass thought he was kickin my door in but it was really my neighbors (an apt. full of mexicans) they didnt even call the cops, just stood outside and laughed after i kicked dudes ***.

I can guarantee when two people are speaking spanish (or any other language other then English) they are not talking about you. To this day I do not understand why people think that. Oh well, deal with it. This is why everyone wants to come to the USA. You can speak what ever language and be succesful. Look around you. People will speak whatever language they are comfortable with.
One more thing..Who is to say the people you saw at Wal Mart are Mexicans. They could have been from Honduras or Guatemala. Not all LATINOS are from Mexico.

Spanish is the 3rd most widley used language IIRC...right behind chinese and english.
If america was like every other country in the world, you would know spanish and probably a couple other languages fluiently by the time you got into highschool...
Learning a language at 5-6 is WAY easier than 15-16 or older.
Every bit of spanish what I learned when I was 7 I still retain. It wasnt much. Try to teach me spanish now (or latin for that matter, which is what I took) and I have to study and memorize and I still dont get it.
Language is easier picked up young, mathmatical concepts later on in life.
But hey, we are only like 34 in the rankings compared to all other non 3rd world countries.
