Just got back from my first wrestling tournament

I wrestled D1 at 167 lbs. Started at a true freshman at NIU. Its a tough sport to say the least. I loved it as you can blame no one else just look in the mirror. Carrier took a bad path though as it was shortened in a fatal car accident that totally destroyed my shoulder and took my buddies life. I coached kids wrestling for a few yrs and will be getting back into it in a couple more. My youngest son is 2 so he will start wrestling in a few yrs. My nephews are all badasses as the youth wrestling here in Il is top notch. My brother still coaches and his 8 yr old is #3 in the nation in points. Hes wrestling in Reno in a month or so and if he wins he will be the #1 8 and under in 70 lb division. His younger brother I think is even better as he has a mean streak like I did. My other brothers son in a sophomore in HS and has been to state both yrs so far but has got beaten by the champ 2 yrs in a row LOL. Also I see people mention Matt Hughes. He was a yr or 2 younger then me but hes an IL native also. He wrestled with me on Team IL on the greco roman team. Its a great sport and if things were different I would have went right into MMA also. I just happened to also break my neck so lets just say my body is battered LOL. Now I am a scratch golfing and that's cool by me.
