Just got a Rockford 15 for $20

Got this sub here Rockford Fosgate Punch RFZ2415 15" 4-ohm Component Subwoofer at Crutchfield.com

Now it's a low power low excursion sub. The box I have for it is 1.5 cubes and I know it's small but think it will do ok in that enclosure? It has a bit of pollyfill on the side too.

i would of bought that sub for 20 bucks too, just for the hell of it lol. You need a bigger box man, like twice that size. Then she will make some noise

Just don't want to build one for it and if I did I'd port it with the recommended 4 inch port. Just wondering if it would be relatively ok in that box.

Ehh I would go a little bigger, even for sealed. Try it out though, worst case is that it won't sound great and you'll upgrade the enclosure.

thats what im figuring, plus its gonna cost about 60 bucks in wood to make a box that size and kinda defeats the whole cheap thing

true but time is extremely scarce ATM so if i do make the right box it wont be for awhile. should be slaping it in tonight, hopefully itll beat the 10 xplod in there now

Bigger sealed box will help even out the response. A low tuned box might be the way to go though.
