I was recently offered a job working for On Semiconductors for 200k a year plus relocation reimbursement.

I had to turn it down because my lady is a PT and loves her job. Figure I'll wait until something better comes along also.

Keep working my low paying job, as long as I'm happy tho...

**** that 200k a year and I'll find me a new lady!!!
Bruh... I live in the state that has Intel, Xerox, HP, Nike, etc... all of whom offer high paying jobs if you have the education. I'd be moving across the country to PA if I accepted that job, no thanks. I currently wash semiconductor plates and make a decent amount..pretty easy job lol

50k In maryland is not much. So expensive to live here.
Seriously glad I live in a small community. Can easily live off of 50k a year hear... which is great, because I'd rather comfortably live here on that amount than try to survive in a larger city with more money.

Yeah, right now we don't have a ton of money, but we live well and have the things we need. While 200k a year would be awesome, 200k a year in Philly is probably right around the same as 75k where I'm at now as far as cost goes.

What kind of business runs the economy over there? We have Steel, Computers, and Logging for the most part - oh and now legal marijuana, which I'm sure will bring in a large amount of biz.

It's good to see different parts of the country ...I went to Minnesota this summer and had a blast ...seeing all the things I've missed before
I still like to get out and see different places..

Spent a month in Guetemala, month in South Africa, month in Honduras, month in San Francisco, Month in Olympia Washington, Month in Montanna, month in Florida, and two weeks on Kona... within the last 4 years.

We travel a lot, try to find volunteer work to keep us busy while travelling as well. It helps gain perspectives on other cultures.

We will never go back to Guetemala though.

Tons on businesses in the area, ship yards. Baltimore right up the road, mixed variety of places. It's growing quite fast here I'd say the housing market is booming, the new construction anyway.
