Ok I went to my local car audio shop looking for an install. They wanna charge me 400 bucks for the install. F*** that. I figure It would be better for me to learn how to do this anyways. Ok where do I start? Im a complete noob in this area. Any websites, step by step, etc........

I dont know shit about installing systems no. Mainly where to put fuses and how long I need the wires to be, how thick?,......

A set of fronts and rears and an amp and a hu. My subs wont be in for another month or two so I will do that later.

i just know its not as simple as gettin speaker wire and pluggin it all in. there is more to it that i dont know.

I guess you should start making sure you have the basics of your install gathered. Dash kit, wiring kit(Factory to aftermarket), appropriate amplifier wiring kit, decide if you're going to tap into the original factory front and rears. You'll need to have a trim removal tools for the doors and appropriate keys to remove the factory radio. Most of your work will be geared towards the amplifier install.
