Just finished 2cubed ported box build Few questions on PVC aero port design install

My brother and I Just finished a mfd ported box build for 2 sundown sa 12s. I'M at the point of aero port install I'm likely gonna opt out to make a aero port from thin walled 6"PVC.

I've seen some methods to forming your own aero port and have read aero ports get you near a 3db gain, My main question is do aero ports need to be flared on the end inside the box as well? What's the gain or loss from doing or not doing the flare on the inside end?

Are most guys screwing these tight into the appetite for a seal or should I cut away the carpet and gasket it flush to the wood for a better seal ?

My box is 35Lx 20Dx15H.

I've calculated 6" by 14"long round aero port to get 31h!

Does this seem right for two Sundown sa12s

6" x14 deep is only 6" per foot port

areo ports dont gain 3db over slot ports.

id do 3 4" ports 15" long..
