What are the little wires that go into the regulator plug on my car? I saw three, maybe four wires behind the little bit of rubber stuff wrapped around them (I didn't want to take the wrapping off so I'm not sure if it was three or 4) There's 4 prongs on the regulator so I think it must be 4 wires. Just curious what they do, I think one of them is the exciter to turn the alternator on, but what are the other 2 or three?
