Just built a box and....

Ok i just rushed and finished up my box not to long ago(too late to listen to it) and the opening of the port is 5.75"(what its suppose to be) but the closing end is 5.25"....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Would that make a BIG noticeable difference in sound or should i end myself and the box??

i know how that feels, i measured it before i screwed in the screws though.

It changes the tuning but the difference won't be huge. There will probably be a little bit of port noise from the bend in the port where the air mass changes.

you might get a little port noise but it might not matter depending on what you using it for. if your going for sq you may want to try again but it prolly wont matter anywhere enough to build a second box.

Pretty sure it would make the tuning lower.... although it would probably be only like 1-2 Hz lower so I wouldn't worry about it too much.
