Just bought Wedges Mag

As the topic states i just bought Wedges SI Mag. He is going to send it out tomorrow and i want to build a box for it. I plan on going sealed for right now and hopefully i will be able to aquire another one sometime soon and go 2 12's ported. i was planning on going with 2 cubic feet sealed. any other suggestions before i start the build. The top height i can do is 14 inches because the opening to my trunk is 14.5 so i want to make sure it will fit. I plan on doing 14x14x18 which should bring me right around 2 cubic feet. if this seems wrong let me know, it's the first box ill be building myself.

2 cubes seems kinda big for a sealed enclosure. what kinda power you have? anyways with your dimensions i got 1.49 cubes without driver displacement. i assumed those were external dimensions.

Showrides says displacement is .07 and SI says its .15. any idea which one is right. i would think SI own website would be but showrides is now selling their products and should have the same thing. just wondering.

The SI site is correct...

Also, 2 cubes with 500rms will be nice. The drivers really dont need bigger then 1.5 though. You wont see any gain off the added .5 cuft.

My 12" mag is in 1.7cu.ft. with 600wrms. Sounds fantastic! You wont regret your purchase.

Icetee want to let me know how you got your figure. either i keep messing up or you do. it's probably me. and i'm going to take your and jntar's advice and go with a smaller box, 1.5 after displacement. i tried working it out but since you said last time i only had 1.49 and i thought i had 2 i'm wrong again. so if someone could help me i'd appreciate it.

i figured in the 3/4" wood thickness. not sure if you did that or not cause those dimensions do equal 2 cubes, but are they internal or external?

14-1.5 14-1.5 18-1.5

12.5*12.5*16.5/1728=1.49 even less if ya double baffle the front

when i figured it out i did external, which was my fault. but i redid it going with 1.5 after and i did internal and i got 13.35x13.25x16.25 which would make it 1.65 cu and the .15 would make it 1.5 right?

Yup, thats what i just got. thanks for the help guys. i'll make sure to post pics when i start building and a video when im done. i can't wait i've been wanting to get this sub for a while now.

When did I ever say that? Displacement is .15. If I did I probably made a typo and was saying that the minimum size for a sealed enclosure is .7 cubic feet after displacement. That is the only thing I can think of.
