i bought this

Ryobi ONE+ 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Compact Drill/Driver Kit-P1811 - The Home Depot

and it came with this for free because theyre having a special.

Ryobi ONE+ 18-Volt 6-1/2 in. Cordless Circular Saw (Tool Only)-P507 - The Home Depot

im starting to build boxes/random wood things.

question is it worth it?

being new to building things and what not for 103$ i got the impact drill and circular saw with 2 batteries and a charger. this worth it?

i really wanted to go makita especially because i bought a makita router earlier this year wanted to stick to one brand. ryobi just seems like the cheaper side of tools next to black and decker.

random post/

I've never owned any Ryobi tools but for a $100 bucks I'd say it's a good deal. Seems to have good reviews and it has a 3 year warranty.
thanks for the positive feedback i was worried about 1 way answers

what tools do you prefer when building boxes etc..

i have a ryobi drill and so does my dad and brother. My brother was a professional carpenter for many years and thats pretty much all he used. Worked on the job site, works for me and thats all i can really ask.

I have the ryobi kit with drills, circular saw, jig saw, sawzall. From back in like 2008. Everything still going strong except the batteries lol. Switched to their lithium and been good. Used it all on jobsite construction for 4 years too. I did switch my drill and impact to dewalt 20v cause I caught a good deal. I love my dewalt 20v impact

I couldn't count how many boxes I have built with that ryobi skill saw lol...

A good drill and saw for $103, yeah it was worth the investment so you can make your own sub boxes. I payed way more than that for my tools.

Building boxes and shipping them to people wouldn't be profitable though, given your location //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I bought the drill and impact kit about 5-6 years ago and it's still going strong, batteries charge quick, I am in maintenance so I use mine daily, it's not as strong as a dewalt but for boxed they will work great for you, and with the ryobi you can also buy the tools without batteries for cheap
