just bought a kenwood DVD Monitor/receiver

it's an in-dash single-din KVT-717DVD.. i traded $400 and my PS2 for it. in the back there is a MUTE wire and i think it's for an add-on device which mutes the volume when a call comes in or a cell phone is in use. my question is is this dvd player capable of transmitting the sound of the phone through the speakers? if so, do i have to hook up that MUTE wire to something?

another question: i have an audiocontrol EQX running in my car but has only one channel input. should i take out the EQX and run RCAs directly from the DVD's hideaway unit straight to the amps and use the kenwood to adjust settings?

dont worry about the mute wire. thats only if you install a hands free in the car. and yeah i would just take out the eq, or get one with a 3 channel input and use that. that would be the best for your sound
